Comparing Google Cash Detective 2 VS PPC Bully VS Affiliate Elite

With the upcoming launch of Google Cash Detective 2, a lot of questions have been coming out about whether Google Cash Detective 2 really delivers on what it promises and if it is just a clone of PPC Bully. By clone, the question is, does it do the same things?

Well, this is a very important question. Let me show you how these different programs work.

Here is how PPC Bully works.

Let’s say you want to start a campaign on weight loss, but want to know who else is advertising on it, you want to know if there are any affiliates for products using PPC to send to landing pages or pre sell pages or direct linking.

You do that, by first  logging on to your account on their website and setting up a campaign on PPC Bully. You create the campaign, choose the country, enter the keywords you want to track. Data is not instantly available, in fact sometimes data does not start to appear until about two or three days later.

Affiliate Elite on the other hand delivers immediate results. You still have to go through the process of setting up a campaign and adding keywords. The first time you run these checks on Affiliate Elite, you get data right there. However, to keep data coming you need to keep Affiliate Elite running, you cannot shut down the software or turn of the computer. Plus Affiliate Elite only runs on PC and not mac. Data gathering is a day to day thing, and you may have to keep Affiliate Elite running, so it can keep checking the ads or keywords you are tracking, for you to get adequate data that will help you make some PPC decisions.

PPC Bully is an online application, so it does not matter if you are a PC or Mac user; you simply log on to their website to check on your data.

Affiliate Elite and PPC Bully both take time, before you can have enough data to say whether a competitor’s campaign is profitable or not, assuming that your competitor is a smart PPC advertiser who advertises long term because his campaign is profitable and not because he does not know what he is doing and is simply wasting money on an unprofitable protracted campaign.

Google Cash Detective 2 however delivers instant information for keywords and campaigns that it actually already has in its database. In fact, the database has over 2 million keywords and even millions of affiliate links. There are keywords that have data as far back as October 2008.

So the main feature that Google Cash Detective 2 has which makes it stand tall against PPC Bully and Affiliate Elite, is that the data is instantly available. Allowing you to quickly set up your campaigns.

The question now is, are you willing to spend for Google Cash Detective 2? Because while in the long run it may end up cheaper, the intial cost to get the software may be a little steep for most marketers and in the interim PPC Bully and Affiliate Elite may be cheaper alternatives.

Chris Carpenter, creator of Google Cash Detective 2 and Google Cash recently gave an interview with Affilorama’s Mark Ling which revealed a lot of interesting features about Google Cash Detective 2 that you may be interested in.

One of the things that caught my attention was the fact that the Google Cash Detective 2 database is on several servers which ensures that there are no crashes, and that everything works fine even if there is a huge volume of users on the site doing keyword research and using the tools.

Comparing Google Cash Detective 2 VS Google Shadow

Many are wondering what the difference is between Google Cash Detective 2 and Google Shadow. I will point them to to you.

Google Cash Detective 2 is a competitive intelligence gathering tool. They do sound like big scary words, but only mean one thing. It shows you what other advertisers on pay per click, are bidding upon. Google Cash Detective 2 will show you the keywords, the ad copy, the landing pages and more importantly how long these campaigns have been up. In PPC advertising, longevity of a campaign is generally understood as a sign of profitability. The longer a campaign has been running, the more likely it is to be profitable.

How does that help you?

When you first start advertising on PPC, you typically have no idea if the keyword or ad copy you are bidding on will not work. You just simply have to put it up first and see if you get clicks, see if you get conversions, improve upon results as you gather them. In other words, it does take some time, a time for testing and tweaking, before you can actually get profitable.

If you have a software like Google Cash Detective 2, you can simply log in and investigate keywords, do a search and you will find who is bidding on these keywords and how long they have been doing so. You also get to see their ads, their ClickBank hoplinks (if they are direct linking), and their landing pages.

With the information you gather, you can quickly set up your own campaign using what you know, NOT copying but creating something similar.  That way, you are not exactly flying blind. You have a little idea on what is working for other people, and you use that to help ensure your success.

Google Cash Detective also comes with a built in software that quickly extracts the data you uncover from spying and set it up to create your campaigns to start testing. This feature is similar to Google Shadow which basically is a software that helps PPC advertisers create mass testing on hundreds or even thousands of keywords.

Speaking of Google Shadow, this is both a software and a principle in PPC that to be profitable, you have to test fast and test a lot. The idea is, the sooner you fail in certain campaigns, the sooner you get rid of them and pursue other campaigns. The few profitable ones that you discover are actually going to be make up for the money you spent in testing.

Google Shadow is a method, which is generally the same method Tim Houston uses, a method that shows how to test massively, and the software comes into the picture to make you do massive testing, sparing you from all the manual work. Google Shadow does not show you competitive data, it does not tell you what competitors are bidding on.

So in conclusion, the biggest distinction between Google Cash Detective 2 and Google Shadow is that, Google Cash Detective 2 is a spy tool and campaign testing software while Google Shadow is just a software for you to run tests.

So you may think, ok it’s a spy tool then, but how is it different from other spy tools? Check out this other post.
